Setting World Spawn in Nether. I'm looking to set the world spawn for a server in the Nether, as kind of a challenge mode. Is this possible to do with just commands or would I need a plugin? Any useful input is appreciated!
Step 1: Setting up your VRChat world. Open your VRChat world project in Unity. This guide assumes you’ve already created a world in Unity and installed the VRChat SDK. Go to the VRChat SDK option on the top menu and select ‘Show Control Panel’. This will open the VRChat SDK control panel. In the Control Panel, go to the ‘Builder’ tab More technical explanation, tested with Minecraft 1.8.4 and NBTExplorer: Using /spawnpoint will set 4 different NBT tags for the player: SpawnX, SpawnY, SpawnZ stores the coordinates, and SpawnForced is set to 1, which means the game will not look for a bed in the vicinity of your spawnpoint.

On the Config Files page, select Server Settings . Locate the option called Protected Spawn Area and enter any number that represents the number of blocks you would like to be protected. Changing the value to 0 will disable spawn protection. After you have set that, save the settings by scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking on the
If you'd need a specific point (similar to Essentials' /spawn command) to spawn (presuming that everybody's mainly in Survival), I'd recommend making a spawn platform with a command block clock that teleports anyone on that platform to the rule room and set the /setworldspawn location to that platform.
4) Set the spawn point. If all has been done successfully, server admins should be able to set the spawn points for everyone via this command: /setspawn. Server admins can also set the spawnpoint

Saves the region data to disk. Region data is saved automatically soon after any changes are made, so this command does not need to be called explicitly. The save operation occurs in the background and will not pause the server. If the command is used before a previous save has completed, the new save will be queued.

Then simply set that world to the proper world in server.properties: #Minecraft server properties #Wed Sep 14 18:55:15 MDT 2011 level-name=spawnworld allow-nether=true view-distance=10 spawn-monsters=true online-mode=true difficulty=1 gamemode=0 spawn-animals=false pvp=false max-players=20 server-name=FernFizzle server-ip= level-seed= server
There are 2 ways to change your spawn point: Sleep in a bed. When you sleep in a bed at night, you will reset your spawn point. Use the /spawnpoint command. This command allows you to quickly set your spawnpoint with a game command (ie: cheat).
Note that this value only affects world generation. The sea level for mob spawning is a fixed value 63. disable_mob_generation: Disables creature spawning upon chunk generation. ore_veins_enabled: Whether ore veins generate. aquifers_enabled: Whether aquifers generate. If set to false, almost all caves below sea level will be filled with water.
Use them at your own risk. Multiverse was created at the dawn of Bukkit multiworld support. It has since then grown into a complete world management solution including special treatment of your nether worlds with. In the second delivery of Multiverse, we've broken it up into several smaller plugins that are each feature packed but *not bloated*!
In SMP you would need to locate your world data folder (it varies depending on how you install it). Then go to the key for SpawnX, SpawnY, SpawnZ and delete them. That will remove the set spawn. Either way, even with a set world spawn point beds should override that provided they sleep in the bed long enough for the screen to fade completely.

Essentials changes the spawn location in a world, not the actual world you spawn in. We have 3 worlds (not counting the end or nether) I would like to set the default world spawn to a specific one of the 3.
