Emulated CPU clock speed needs to be set arround 50%. Basically mess arround with that setting while you are in the game. Set it too low and the game will freeze. Set it too high and there will be problems you mentioned. I haven't emulated anything for over a year now, but I remember that I had hard time emulating NFS Undercover with the Pocophone.
