Although not yet tested, on paper the 150hp diesel looks like it could well be a really popular choice, especially as the unit has the same CO2 figures as the 116hp powerplant. The higher power engine delivers what looks to be a swift experience reaching 62mph in only 8.7 seconds. Join my channel The most economical petrol engine is the 1-litre TSI with an official figure just shy of 60mpg. While that’s good, it’s worth noting that both 147bhp 1.4 and 1.5 TSI engines are within a couple of mpg of that, so if you can afford more there’s very little economy sacrifice for their greater performance. It cost about GBP6,000 to change. Of course, the 2.0 DSG is more expensive than the 1.5 Manual anyway. It also has some rarity value in 2WD form having only been offered during MY19 afaik. The new car is a year younger, both old and new had done under under 10,000 miles.

Location: Adelaide, Australia. Model: Octavia Mk3 1.4tsi manual Ambition combi. Year: 2014. Posted 19 February, 2017 (edited) The short, simple answer is no. This engine and manual has the fewest complaints of any Skoda. Edited 19 February, 2017 by Gerrycan. This Skoda Octavia 1.5 engine oil type is 0W-20 and oil capacity is 4.3 litres. Skoda Octavia 2019 1.5 TSI has front wheel drive (FWD) and manual gearbox with 6 gears. Skoda Octavia 2019 1.5 TSI accelerates to speed 100 kilometres per hour in 8.2 seconds. The maximum speed of this car is 230 km/h. The fuel consumption of this Skoda Octavia 2019 I have a 1.0 Tsi in my fabia estate, and it feels sluggish when fully loaded with people and luggage. I can only imagine an Octavia would suffer much worse, being a larger and heavier car. I'd want 1.5 for an octavia personally.
Posted 31 March, 2019. A 2013 1.2tsi Rapid has the 8v camchain EA111 engine (CBZB) which has a history of camchain problems, though major engine revisions in 2012 improved matters considerably. Regular oil changes (10k/1 yr max) are key to longevity.
If you get a 1.0 TSI done it is not as expensive as a 1.5 TSI ACT which might get you quotes from £850 - £1,150. (There are places that have even messed up doing 1.0 TSI,s. As seen in the Fabia Mk3 section. Simple enough with the looking tool and follow the correct procedure.)
The Skoda Octavia is a great used buy. In fact, it's hard to do much better, especially if you opt for your MK2 model in post-2009 facelift form. We'd look to either the 1.2 or 1.4 TSI engines as they're modern, cost-effective and surprisingly good fun to drive, although a big case can be made for the sporty vRS.
Dear all, I may be a little paranoid, but my MKIV Octavia 1.5TSI (2020) with just under 30,000 miles on the clock is sounding like this whilst idling. Is this a 'Normal' sound for these engines or is it something sinister, such as piston slap - The sound is worse when starting from cold. Also the idle is a little rougher than I would have
Multiple problems in a 3-week old Skoda Slavia. Hello Folks, I am reaching out on behalf of a friend who purchased Slavia 1.0 TSI, AT on 24th March 2022 from Skoda TAFE Access, Bangalore. Within 3 weeks of delivery, and barely driving few hundred KMs her car ran into EPC / Auto Start Stop issue. She handed over the car to the service center and
People will know how 2018 DQ200's are after 3 or more years next year maybe, and by then Skoda / VW might deal with those still getting issues. If Skoda produce over 2,200 DQ200 a day under normal conditions and only 0.5% have issues then that is still a lts of DQ200's with issues. EJVW.
