AudiOriginal "S" Cars - I just replaced my G62 temp sensor but the problem remains - My climate control diagnostic output #51 (coolant temperature) only goes up to 50C and then stops. The coolant temp gauge (far left) works fine and reports 90C when the engine is fully warm. I thought replacing the G62 would fix this

The coolant temp sender is at the back, drivers side of the engine accessible by taking the plastic covers off and disconnecting the air intake tube from the egr valve. On later models it should be green with 4 connections.
Ifnot cured it. 3: dissconect batt poss and neg for 20 mins to force computer into reboot. 4: take out oil level sensor clean with elec contact spray replace and make sure plug wire is free from dirt. 5: STILL ON new sensor. 6: make sure no fault codes on VAG-COM or AUDI £££$$$.
