Panzermann. 1. ESA load settings must be adjusted with the engine running and the bike stationary, and. 2. if you are seated on the bike and adjust the ESA to a higher load condition, you will feel the rear rise as the preload increases to the new setting.

BMW like to crow about their “legendary” customer service, however, there are currently TWO known issues with the 1250 RT’s yet they refuse point blank to resolve them by way of re engineering and a recall. It’s obscene that BMW are quite happy to knowingly let the riders on their bikes break down, potentially mid tour.
