Well, if you’re having trouble picking a character because you’re worried that the story is going to be different… it isn’t. There are some slight differences to the way that the cutscenes in the game play out, but basically if you pick either Alexios or Kassandra the two characters will just be swapped for cutscene purposes.
Or, conversely, have Kassandra deal with the pain of not just killing her brother, but the realization that maybe if she had made different choices she might have been able to save him. Alexios/Kassandra's family is a huge (some might say the) focus of the main story.We spend a lot of the game hunting down family and either saving or killing them. For the purpose of this post I'm making the assumption that some or all A/K's family was reunited, especially Deimos.
The eagle that alexios/kassandra used was given to them from there actual father, Pythagoras, and he had been studying the isu for years long after he should have died so maybe the eagle vision in the other games was something that they unlocked for the assassin's by training an unlocking more of their isu DNA but Bayek and Alexios/Kassandra
In my head I assigned each gender a default personality - Alexios is an honorable warrior dedicated to the Spartans, while Kassandra is a conniving killer, happy to steal and rip people off for money. That way I can potentially play the game twice and have a slightly different experience, as I take different approaches to missions.
I have played both characters, Kassandra on my first play through, and Alexios on NG+ (which you will learn about later) I can confidently say that if you want really moving story elements, I would go with Kassandra, her voice actor delivered a sledgehammer performance and fills each dialogue with raw emotion, who ever you don’t pick in the beginning spoiler will become the main antagonist
For role playing purpose, yes. Since both of them have different voice tone and expression (and gender ofc). Though i like played as Alexios, but i admit Kassandra's voice is awesome. But for the gameplay wise, basically it just a cosmetics since their conversation line are same and it wont affect the whole story.
Both. I played all the way through as Alexios to get the “best” or happy ending. Really enjoyed it and will go back for dlc and exploration, but now I’m playing as Kassandra and love killing my way through Greece. It’s a game worthy of a second playthrough! Edward probably learned it later but we can use it before because animus. Haytham probably learned it from Edward. That’s different, Kassandra and Alexios did the leap of faith before it was even invented. Also, Kassandra and Alexios use Ikaros, but Bayek was the one to start that trend of having eagle companions, 400 years after Odyssey.

Does Alexios and Kassandra have the same father? There is an age difference between them so it would be weird if they had the same father. would it mean that their mother first had the first child then lived lived with Nikolaos and then had another child with their father and then went to the with Nikolaos again?
